We Are The World 2010 For Haiti - AWESOME!
I just finished listening to the remake of We Are The World. I'm very impressed. They did an awesome job with this remake, I really really like it a lot! They created an up to date version of a great song, which I'm sure will sell great, and that's of course the purpose of this remake.

They did a great job and I am gonna buy it fo' sho'! Not just because it's for Haiti, but because it's a great song.
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
I wasn't too crazy about the rap parts, but I understand it's a new generation and feel MJ understands that.
i like her 2, i think she used MJ TII dancers for her new video <!-- s --><!-- s -->
the song was cute, i think i heard mike singing also lol , not on the parts where they show him but on another section <!-- s --><!-- s -->
OMMMMG... i lie 2 u not.. I have been playing "Soldier of love" back to back for literally the last 3hrs..LMAO i can not get enough of that song. Great way to step back into the spotlight
mee too! <!-- s --><!-- s -->
It also would have endorsed her CD a bit more if she was there...
It's cool to see her after so many years.
It was nice to see people like Tony Bennet and Carlos Santana. I like that they haven't faded like some of the older artists. <!-- s:( -->:(<!-- s:( -->
Yea but did you see Gladys Knight?? They should of let her get up on it.. she can still blow!! If Tony only had like 5sec... they shoulda gave her some time
Edit: Not too fond of Miley Cyrus.. <!-- s:? -->:?<!-- s:? -->
The best thing of the remake that they included MJ ! <!-- s:) -->:)<!-- s:) --> It makes me so happy still listening to his voice in it .
i heard it 2
The thing that kinda killed it for me is that it.. wasn't really, well, timeless.
I feel like it's not going to be famous like the old watw.
I mean, the 1985 equivalent is everyone wearing spandex and leg warmers, followed by a hardcore synthesizer solo. <!-- s:| -->:|<!-- s:| -->
Maybe It's just that I feel like NOTHING is ever going to be as good as Michael. Never. Ever.
compared with the original version it's a desperate try...
well meant, badly done.
Of course it is for Haiti....but they could have chosen any song..why this song?
<!-- s:shock: -->:shock:<!-- s:shock: --> ok eww I have a way different take on this.sorry but that...hmmm(don't want to call it shit)..well this SONG sucked.When I saw the previews on ET,I was horrifed but it turns out that I was BOTH horrified and BORED out of my mind.COME ON NOW! not everything that is MADE "up to date" during our times has to be crappy compared to the originals,remakes can actually be good sometimes. <!-- s:roll: -->:roll:<!-- s:roll: -->Basically,I didn't necessarily feel like it was REVAMPED,just a poorly executed gimmick to get money.Good for Haitu,bad for my ears. <!-- s:| -->:|<!-- s:| -->
I was looking for it to be as awesome as the classic,but for the song to be something that I can actually enjoy listening to and doesn't represent the shallow aspects of our time.That didn't seem 2010.
I give props to celine dion,jennifer hudson,pink,and Nicole Scherzinger for trying to make it sound acceptable. <!-- s:D -->:D<!-- s:D -->
But I have to say that although 4:39 does sound a lot like MJ, it could have been one of the Jonas brothers. Sounded like Nick or Joe.
@MrJosephJ
Yeah, I know what you mean. My brother was sitting beside me while I was watching this for the first time. When the camera went to Lil' Wayne I was like <!-- s:o -->:o<!-- s:o -->. My brother was like, WHAT?! I watched the vid where he was dissing Michael. <!-- s:roll: -->:roll:<!-- s:roll: --> It wasn't just that...I've never been a fan of his. Look at some of his lyrics. And have you guys heard the audio where he says, “I’ll Murder Your Family, Your Child, Your Newborn.”?!?! But I guess people can always change right?
