I was thinking to focus all this energy into something that somehow help heal the world ... as a tribute to michael.
in TII in the earth song the girl does everything possible to save the plant, the last one.
he says in his speech that millions of trees are cut down, as not as many football fields per day.
perhaps we should spread the idea as a tribute to Michael, that every one in your city and where possible, on the backyard or on the street, plant a tree ... something that generates oxygen and allow us to keep breathing.
so help heal the world for future generations.
we propose a single day and do it. I was thinking during the Christmas holidays would be a good option.

I see that many people read this topic but only one until now make a comment, are you really mj fans? are you really will help to heal the world? i don´t think so... i think that many people need to know... but you must feel that! i hope. really, that many people come together to make this possible. thank you all!

In the volunteer organization I belong to, we sell trees to be planted in my city. Then we adopt a disadvantaged family and use the money to buy meals and gifts for the holidays.
So it's win-win, I think everyone should do this. Besides being charitable to others, it makes you feel really good about yourself. Knowing that you CAN make a difference in the world, in whatever small way.

Not ONE reply! Anyway, I continue to do one small thing a day that I wouldnt have normally done to do my bit. And Ive started up angelbear.org.uk to help sick kids all out of my own money as I havent recieved a donation yet.
My fear is that many people speak the language of love (L.O.V.E) but are reluctant to change their ways to achieve a better world.
This is not putting me off though. I'm still knitting bears, doing good deeds and putting all my spare cash and time (with 5 children this is no mean feat) into angelbear.
I would LOVE us all to pull together and make some positive changes in Michaels name. <!-- s:) -->:)<!-- s:) -->

I think this is a very good idea!
I've always thought that this was one of the central ideas of TII, where MJ takes the microphone and looks into the camera and starts talking about the planet etc. (Don't want to make this about the movie though, but it's very clear, that this was what he wants us to focus on).
I think it's important for us to join a group, if we can, who can make a difference on a global scale. But I also think it's very important to start with your own life and try to make small changes there. I'm trying to think about that movie about the boy who starts this as a school project and for the life of me I can't remember the name of the movie!! It's very sad and the boy dies at the end, but he made a huge difference and it showed how his idea impacted so many lifes. (Was it Helen Hunt as the mom?)
I think we must also start thinking in that way? What do you think?
But planting the trees are definately very important. Nature is so beautiful and pure, but human life is totally dependant on it as well. It's clear to hear, where MJ speaks in the "Earth Song" video, that he is very passionate about nature and about this cause.
