Hi all,

I just heard on the news here in LA that Michael's family is preparing for a benefit concert! They said the family included his mother, the brothers and Latoya. They did say what the concert was to benefit but I was so caught off guard that I don't remember what it would benefit. They did not give a date. They may have mentioned Janet but as I said I was so caught off guard that I don't remember hearing her name.

And this is why I was caught off guard, they said that the family promises that it will be [size=18pt]"A Thriller of An Event!!! [/size] afraid/

I am getting ready for work now and if I hear any more I will post it later today. It's 7:20 a.m. LA time. Please those of you here in the states keep an ear open and post please! Thank You!

Stay blessed!
OnTheWingsOfLove
• Update!

Here is a link to a page that doesn't say much more than already said. It does say "The concert, which has been called a “thriller of a show” in a press release from the Jackson family, will benefit charities in both the U.S. and U.K. and more details will be revealed in a press conference in Los Angeles on Monday." That next week as the article is dated with today's date.

http://www.blackmediascoop.com/2011/07/25/michael-jacksons-family-planning-concert/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=michael-jacksons-family-planning-concert

Reminds me of the "Cardiff Giant" and the Barnum affair.

Especially interesting was it to observe the evolution of myth and legend.

Before long the matter entered into a comical phase. Barnum, King of Showmen, attempted to purchase the "giant," but in vain. He then had a copy made so nearly resembling the original that no one, save, possibly, an expert, could distinguish between them. This new statue was also exhibited as "the Cardiff Giant," and thenceforward the credit of the discovery waned.

To close these annals, I may add that recently the inventor of "the Cardiff Giant," Hull, being at the age of seventy-six years, apparently in his last illness, and anxious for the glory in history which comes from successful achievement, again gave to the press a full account of his part in the affair, confirming what he had previously stated, showing how he planned it, executed it, and realized a goodly sum for it; how Barnum wished to purchase it from him; and how, above all, he had his joke at the expense of those who, though they had managed to overcome him in argument, had finally been rendered ridiculous in the sight of the whole country.

Jermaine and Randy are against it. I can't understand this family anymore

http://www.twitlonger.com/show/bv2eqe

Just copying and pasting it here in case it disappears:

On Monday 25th July 2011, @jermjackson5 said:

STATEMENT FROM JERMAINE & RANDY JACKSON
RE THE MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE CONCERT

July 25, 2011

Today's press conference in Los Angeles announced a tribute concert to Michael to be attended and supported by the Jackson Family. However, we want to make clear that this does not reflect the position of the entire family.

While we wholeheartedly support the spirit of a tribute that honors our brother, we find it impossible to support an event that is due to take place during the criminal trial surrounding Michael's death. As everyone knows, those proceedings commence September 20th, and this "Michael Forever" concert takes place in Cardiff, Wales, UK,on October 8th. In light of this, we feel it is inappropriate to be involved with such an ill-timed event and its promoter, Global Live.

Furthermore, the decision to proceed with this concert disrespects opinions and wishes expressed in the strongest terms to Global Live during conversations in April when this event was presented to the majority of the family as an idea already in its advanced stages.

There will come a time and place for an amazing and deserving tribute to Michael. But we feel that the most important tribute we can give to our brother at this time is to seek justice in his name.

JERMAINE JACKSON & RANDY JACKSON
I have in mind the passion that BACK defended Mrs. Katherine with, and his words that said "Have you ever heard the words 'mother knows best? They are words to live by". And now Jermaine and randy oppose something that Mrs. Katherine initiated.

I simply don't understand and don't know anymore who is the money hungry in this family.
The alleged tribute would be fake because MJ isn't dead. A fake tribute to a fake death is not a fraud. I bet it never happens in any case.

But regardless, it's a Barnum line I was quoting here, feel free to assign your own definition.

I would be more worried if they aall agreed, and the tribute went ahead.

Otherwise, we would presume he was really dead. IMO.

Could this just be another delay tactic?? Maybe MJ's not ready yet ??

No one said the press conference didn't happen. I said it was fake... and it may well be... as in, it really did take place, but it's to announce something they know will never happen and it only exists to create clues and controversy. There will be no tribute, in my opinion; ultimately it will be canceled for some reason or another... probably due to copyright claim by the estate... because this is part of the script. This is all for show and dramatic effect. So yes... I believe it was a fake press conference.

Amy Winehouse's death (July 23) to October 8 is 77 days. Weird, right?
  • As you said MJONMIND there are some things to notice in that video!

Amazing!

I did notice that LaToya said, "Michael [blink]is[/blink] an entertainer" not was an entertainer.

And the guy Chris Hunt put much emphasis on the song "Got To Be There."

And the tag lines says, "Just when you thought that was it" lines up very well with Jermaine's statement at the This Is It premiere, "But this is not really it!" Loving it!

Again I say, Amazing! No one can convince me that this hoax has not been in the planning for years and years! That's a parcel of swamp land that I'm not buying!!

[blink]Aldas, Beannu, Benedizione, Benediction, Bendicion, Bencao, Valsignelse, Zegen, Segen, Palaima,[/blink] Blessings, my friends! [/color]

OnTheWingsOfLove
