I'm sorry but he is all about self promotion. If you read his twitter he is talking about himself. The new years eve party is part of the promotional marketing for his new album and maybe it has something to do with the vodka promotional contract he has with CIROC too. He was looking for Beyonce and this was before Beyonce was dating Jay Z. Michael wanted to just talk to Beyonce and Diddy made it seem that Michael was trying to hook up with her and he had pictures with Michael taken. Diddy talked about this on David Letterman.
