"VH1 is returning to the scene of some of pop culture and music’s most shocking deaths with Famous Crime Scene. The first episode will take an in-depth look at the murder of Tupac Shakur. The additional six episodes will investigate the untimely deaths of Biggie Smalls, John Lennon, Anna Nicole Smith, Selena, Marvin Gaye and Michael Jackson. The seven episode half-hour series is set to premiere on Friday, February 12 at 9pm.

While news accounts tell only part of the story, VH1 has rounded up the witnesses and investigators who were there to give viewers the intimate details from the initial 911 call to the investigators’ final determination to help piece together what really happened. Using expert interviews and true-to-life reenactments, as well as advanced computer graphics, viewers will witness full recreations of these historic events. They’ll tour virtual crime scenes searching for clues and learn the science behind the investigators’ findings: ballistics, fingerprints, DNA evidence, toxicology, profiling and more.

<!-- s:o -->:o<!-- s:o --> OH MY DEAR GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont like the sound of that. If they show Michaels death, it has to be pre-recorded, so I dont know what to think.

Its a re-enactment, not a recording of it.

I understand that, but they have to talk to everyone who was involved to get the story.
  • This makes me cringe... Perhaps it'll help us come closer to the truth though even if it might be very painful <!-- s:cry: --><!-- s:cry: -->

Not too worried yet its a 30 minute program so I doubt they're going to go into too much detail or uncover anything new.

I've seen a trailer for the series, if you ask me it all looks very OTT, all special effects and highly dramatized like hollywood style action crime films.
  • isnt this premature before the trial?

i say this despite having a thread on the crime scene - sorry
  • Hi guys.
I almost forgot about VH1 show.Did anyone watch at least one episode? As I remember the first is of A.N.Smith, the second of Tupac and the third of Michael.

    I don't have the satellite TV so I can't watch it .
  • When is the one about MJ being aired or has it already happened?

Either this or the trial is totally fake.
If they are going to keep trying Murray in the future, the show about Michael's death would be illegal I think.

i watched the tupac one and his death still doesnt make sense so there is nothing to worry about <!-- s:lol: --><!-- s:lol: -->
  • Anything that Michael Jackson's name touches, it turns to gold.
Everybody is cashing in and forgetting about any ethics. They don't care about King of Pop, the best performer. They don't care about justice, they only care about money. Only money. It makes me sick.
  • The Michael Jackson one will be episode 3...or so it says online. It has a list of the episodes and I was just searching by episode and I got to episode 3 and it says it is not online yet (neither is Anna Nicole Smith episode 2) but it will be episode 3 <!-- s:) -->:)<!-- s:) -->

I also watched the Tupak episode today and after all is said and done nobody ever been arrested. ALSO, LAPD was involved and it is stated that SOMEONE(dont know who) did not want this case solved and ummm ....it hasn't been solved. <!-- s:( -->:(<!-- s:( --> Kinda makes me think of MJ because when I look back on LAPD past then... especially with the Biggie and Tupak murders well........

    Sound very interesting. I wonder why VH1 is airing something like this during the trial. <!-- s:?: -->:?:<!-- s:?: --> <!-- s:?: -->:?:<!-- s:?: --> <!-- s:?: -->:?:<!-- s:?: --> Does anyone know what date the program will be aired?

Because it is excellent time to get high ratings. In April will be the same thing. Dateline, 20/20 and so on...

    EPISODE 3 - MICHAEL JACKSON
    Airs: Friday 26th February 2010 (9.00pm ET/PT on VH1)

Follow LAPD detectives in their investigation of the sudden and shocking death of the King of Pop. Toxicology reports confirm he died from a combination of prescription medications and a heavy-duty anesthesia drug called Propofol, all administered by a mysterious physician who was treating Jackson at home in the last month of his life. But other doctors were also giving Michael drugs up until his final days, some administered through his various aliases. Will this ongoing homicide investigation turn into a criminal case? Who will be responsible for this music legend's tragic and controversial death?
