Just thought it was interesting since we were just discussing Prince's use of the word "purple" and its symbolism:
I saw some other tweets from people saying that the two statements aren't related...but how do we know?
Also, I know that a lot of people are talking about wearing purple today to stop the bullying against gays, but I just think it's interesting because Kenny doesn't tweet that often. His last tweet was in August. Maybe it's nothing...

What is Spirit Day?
The idea behind Spirit Day, first created by teenager Brittany McMillan earlier this month, is a simple one, not dissimilar to the idea of "Spirit Week" held in many high schools, and can be summed up in three words: Everyone Rally Together.
Spirit Day honors the teenagers who had taken their own lives in recent weeks. But just as importantly, it's also a way to show the hundreds of thousands of LGBT youth who face the same pressures and bullying, that there is a vast community of people who support them.
Purple symbolizes 'spirit' on the rainbow flag, a symbol for LGBT Pride that was created by Gilbert Baker in 1978.
As one of the event's Facebook pages says: "This event is not a seminar nor is it a rally. There is NO meeting place. All you have to do is wear purple."
Wearing purple on October 20 is a simple way to show the world that you stand by these courageous young people and a simple way to stand UP to the bullies. Remember those lives we've tragically lost, and show your solidarity with those who are still fighting. 'Go Purple' today!

as an american there is something that has stood out to me lately about this color .
i noticed even in the prince announcement that it was stated that purple was the combination of red and blue. here in the political season i am reminded that our political parties are represented with these colors. we have red states and blues even. these far left and far right agendas have caused such seperation in this country. what would happen if we allowed the proper amount of each to merge?

Very good point as I am also from america.Since I don't ever see the two merging politically in my life time with as bad as the U.S. has become I personally have opted for going the same route as Jessie Ventura and have started voting for the underdogs that are neither democratic or republican but either Independent or other.Our wonderful flag with the all famous red,white and blue when blended also becomes purple.Lets not forget the violence in the streets in the U.S. with the different gangs,the main 2 being Blue or Red also...
