    Michael commissioned him to make some paintings for him. He visited Michael a little less than 2 weeks before he "passed" to discuss some paintings. His children later received these paintings as a present for Christmas.

    Incidentally, when he visited Mike, he did not notice anything out of the ordinary, and did not think Mike was on anything <!-- s:) -->:)<!-- s:) -->

    That story I know, but I am asking if we have fotos and video footage of that guy, and with that I mean from before June 25, 2009. I just get the feeling he has painted them himself, I don't know why I suddenly think that. But that is why I ask if we know this guy...

    And why does he call himself Kingofpopart? Art by the King of Pop? That wicked witch of the west reminds me of one of Mike's drawings, same style. A lot of his work is very funny as well. I don't know, it's just a feeling.

Even before the artist became well-known for his pop art style, people loved him for his offbeat, comical, irreverent art that can be found on his other website <!-- m -->http://www.delanuez.com<!-- m -->. “I create humor by combining popular culture and kitsch with art history, politics and religion to hopefully make people think and laugh all at once,” he comments. Party goers can expect to see some of both styles at his grand opening. “What makes viewing the art an experience is that I have short “stories” and background commentaries explaining the individual pieces. I want people to feel as though they are really interacting with my art, rather than just staring at it,” explains the artist.

    His boxed note card set contains 20 cards with five different images and is in stores now and is also sold on his <!-- m -->http://www.delanuez.com<!-- m --> website. The 2004 calendar is being released in August and will be carried by many stores, including Borders, Vroman’s and Tower. A calendar signing will be set to coincide with its release. His art is currently sold in galleries throughout the world and is offered as signed prints or one of a kind pieces on canvas.

    The grand opening party is by invitation only, but if people would like to get on the list, please contact: Stacy Bell: 805-583-5060

    If you go to his Twitter <!-- m -->https://twitter.com/kingofpopart<!-- m --> and read down, you will find a picture of him and Michael together when they first met. Also a picture of him leaving Carolwood on the day he visited him. He also has a new book out.

    This is funny. I always thought of that possibility too.

    Once, in another thread, I asked about the bio of DelaNuez and then suddenly somebody from the DelaNuez-public-relations-team signed in here and told me to look at the kingofpopart-homepage to find all relevant infos (as if I didn't do that before). See here <!-- l -->viewtopic.php?f=17&t=12541&p=209119&hilit=de+la+nuez#p209546<!-- l -->.
    The member only signed in at that moment and never posted again nor logged in again, very odd.

    Thinking about Mike's painting abilities, I assume that he could very well have made those paintings, although it would have required a huge amount of free time do so (but what do we actually know about Mike's working habits to exclude that possibility?).

    We know that Mike took painting lessons and Nordahl once said that he was very demanding in an artistic way and always wanted to improve, so I think he could have brought his style to perfection and made up a plan to distribute his works under an alias.

    To go further in this speculation, I allege that Mike did some more paintings which we attribute to other artists, such as "The Book" by Brett Livingstone-Strong. Everything about this picture is strange (added frame, curtain, key) and also the storys around it's appearences after june25th09. I think that this painting and it's sale as the most expensive portrait of a living artist was a hoax even back in the 90s (..remember Livingstone showing up at the funeral in front of the Liberian Girl picture).

    So I think it's time for DelaNuez' and also Livingstone-Strong's PR-manager to log in here and set the record straight. <!-- s;) -->;)<!-- s;) -->

    Hard to tell who's on the pic. All faces are covered, but people automatically assume it's Mike and the kids. If there's one thing we've learned over the past 16 months it's to never assume anything when Michael Jackson is involved.

    I agree that assumtions should not be made. However, I do believe that this is Michael and his children <!-- s:) -->:)<!-- s:) -->

    As you all may remember after June 09, Nelson De La Nuez (King of Pop Art) got the mysterious "Thank you note" with MJ memorabilia from O2 concerts.

    <!-- l -->viewtopic.php?f=46&t=664<!-- l -->

    It seems that the new mystery has come and he now tweets about a new mysterious note he got right now, this time as it appears with MJ OPUS book.

    He is ONCE AGAIN calling out to find out who the sender is <!-- s;) -->;)<!-- s;) -->

  • Wow - so interesting...and funny. I bet Michael is laughing hysterically reading those tweets. I had forgotten about his first gift. Thank you for sharing this - will be interesting to see if anyone comes forward as the gift giver.

    Wacky. Lol.
  • <!-- m -->http://twitter.com/kingofpopart<!-- m -->

    # @NITROGEN_ Don't know that answer.I did meet him in his final days--these "gifts" could be his company, his family or just a fan of mine 2 minutes ago via Twitter for iPhone in reply to NITROGEN_

    @NITROGEN_ Just an observation from what I know..you are correct..means nothing in particular except that was his co logo 5 minutes ago via Twitter for iPhone in reply to NITROGEN_

    Interesting because in last wk, I'd been talking a lot about how I wish I'd been able to share MY new book w/#MichaelJackson-then I get his 7 minutes ago via Twitter for iPhone

    All of #MichaelJackson's bodyguards, etc..even had that logo on their business cards in gold..the logo on the note. 13 minutes ago via Twitter for iPhone

    Yes- the book was a shipment thru Sony-that's the supplier-the logo on the note was #MichaelJackson own Co. I recognize from business w/him 17 minutes ago via Twitter for iPhone

    @PT_smile The book was shipped from Sony Music-that's the label- but they don't tell u info on who bought/sent it.
    Finally got the chance last nt 2 look thru entire #MichaelJackson Opus book-it is amazing..the photos,info-30 lbs <!-- m -->http://twitpic.com/3jm4nl<!-- m -->

    My #MichaelJackson Opus book that I was sent by an unknown source--a note from MJ company? -Merry Christmas! <!-- m -->http://twitpic.com/3jdyyx<!-- m -->

    @kingofpopart The plot thickens with the Opus then......I can only think of one person who would send it and remain anon......only one!!!! 8 minutes ago via web in reply to kingofpopart Retweeted by kingofpopart

    I am not making any assumptions..I could get in trouble so I am just stating observations & facts & u guys can come 2 your own conclusions 3 minutes ago via Twitter for iPhone

    @AMerems Did u see the pic of this book? It's huge! 30 lbs! Very nice wherever it came from #MichaelJackson <!-- m -->http://twitpic.com/3k0gu1<!-- m -->

  • I don't have a great feeling about Nelson de la Nuez... He calls himself "King of Pop Art" (I believe this is a title he gave himself?), has a logo consisting of a crown, and seems to really want to associate himself with MJ. He himself could have created the notes he claimed to receive, and as for the gifts... Maybe he bought the Opus himself; and he hasn't provided evidence for the box he said he got some months ago.

    What's the proof he's not lying about these "gifts"?
  • This is very interesting. I think it's a double-post: <!-- l -->viewtopic.php?f=46&t=16731<!-- l -->

    So - I've been searching these tweets and I don't see the last tweet where he says he can stay at his cabin. Either he removed it or I am blind? Does anyone else see it?

    I don't believe he's calling himself the king of pop art. I think the title means "the king of pop"- art

    the king of pop as in michael, and art because he gave him art.
    Maybe I'm wrong but that's how I always read it.
