How did I just get here now?

The pic is obviously photoshopped. The RTL shirt was added. Cropping does not explain it's disappearance from the original.
  • becbec Posts: 6,387
Oh ps. it's also a pic of MJ's back. Obvious, I know but no one else mentioned it so I throw it out there.
  • :th_bravo: I knew there would be more clues!! Keep them coming!! I cant wait to get
my copy.
  • Same I'm desperate to get the DVD. Just got the cd yesterday and have listened to it only once so far. All I will say, IMHO, these tracks weren't recorded in the 80's. Some of the tracks sound like bad album stle music, but others Have a current musical sound. Also Some of the vocals, I agree, sound like a mature MJ. It's incredibly exciting and I haven't even looked into the lyrics deeply. I am sure once I do that especially with hoaxy eyes, I'm going to be absolutely spinning about it all.
:michael-jackson:

Ah MJ you're a gift that keeps on giving. I can not tell you how good it was driving in my car listening to new MJ...

Felt soooo powerful and special. Possibly because of my involvement here, it feels extra special rather than if I never learned of the hoax. Non believers are missing out on the full MJ experience, big time!!

Love you MJ - Love you all x
  • Loving this thread! Very eye-opening. I went with the box set and I didn't see that particular photo as the DVD is packaged differently.

In reading this thread, I had also noticed the 'Paris' and 'Parc des Princes' connection to Michael's kids. Nice! There is a mention of Paris (the city) in the first remix by Afrojack featuring Pitbull (who the hell is that, btw?):

from: http://mjtranslate.com/en/songs/1523

P-I-T is B-A-D
Michael Jackson, R.I.P.
Catch a chicken with a P-Y-T
All off in Paris
Ooh, oui oui
I've been around the world getting off the chain
And ain't nothing changed

A while back there was a thread discussing the Kanye/Jay Z song Ni**as in Paris because they name-check Michael. Wish I could find that thread again, tried running some searches but nothing came up. Here's a link to the lyrics if you're interested: http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/kanyewest/niggasinparis.html

Those two songs seem to suggest Michael being in Paris with those singing the songs. Much if not all of it is probably coincidental, but I kind of like the idea of Michael choosing Paris as his hide-out city <3

Edit: I just remembered that "Streetwalker" on disc 2 mentions Paris:

I'd like to take you places
How about New York City
Or Paris, France
What do you think of that
So I made a quick pic comparison with the original pic and the back of my BAD25.
Forgive my crappy work on the montage, I was doing it fast :icon_lol:

The guy wears a RTL shirt.
Left: Back of BAD25 Right: Original pic

bad25cover.jpg

I haven't read beyond the first page of this thread, but I just have some thoughts...
How do we know the one on the right is the *original* pic? To me... the left one looks like it would be the original. The one on the right looks edited, see how everything looks cartoon-y or like it's been drawn? I think the RTL had always been there, whoever made the pic on the right look cartoon-y may have also photoshopped the rtl OUT of the picture. Still, going with this theory of mine, its suspicious that it was there in the first place, considering "RTL" would later on be the first keyword relating to the media and michael's death hoax. The video of Michael jumping out of the van made every news broadcast... it was VERY important in getting people curious about michael being alive IMO and if it was actually in the original picture, thats evidence to the hoax being planned back in the 80s

If that were the case, it's dubious that the original ever would have survived, much less been in any condition to use it for this shiny new project. Nope, that makes no sense considering we are dealing with high end professional marketing companies working for a mega-star's post humus anniversary commemorative album release.

It's ok to believe in the hoax. We are way past looking dumb here.

Where did the pic being referred to as the 'original' (i.e. not the one being used on Bad25 dvd) come from? Who found it? Where can I see it, other than in this thread? I can't find it anywhere.

Maybe this will make it easier to compare.
Different pictures. T-shirt removal not really a big deal (and not really necessary as the picture is cut to fit anyway).

comp2chc.jpg
Great montage @ellyd! :icon_e_wink:

So there's no Photoshop on the back cover. No RTL t-shirt inserted. The other pic was simply missing the below margin.

It's just that the DVD-back cover pic is not from Wembley stadium (London), but from "Parc des Princes" stadium (Paris).

Look again Sim. It ought to be there if simply cropped. That's the point.

I have to agree. Mr. RTL was either photoshopped in, or photoshopped out. I tend to think he was photoshopped IN.

    The picture is simply cropped.

@MaryK, seeing as you were the one to post the 'original' pic in this thread, can I ask where you found it? This is nagging me!

I found it on Google picture search.

I typed in "Michael Jackson Wembley" and that pic (with the same scene but without the RTL guy) was the only one I could find (even with other search terms)

http://i.imgur.com/vNymv.png

Thanks MaryK! The pic on Google images links back to this article by Joe Vogel:

http://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/72080008.html

which used this: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/joe-vogel/michael-jackson-wembley_b_1871878.html as their source.

Hmm, not sure if that helps me or not!

Here's what I think about this thread.

This T-shirt contains the red logo of RTL, a french radio, one of the biggest of France.
(Website: http://www.rtl.fr/ )

This radio is one of the main partners of this new edition of bad, BAD25.

So, to me, it's simple that they appears on the cover.

Because the back cover of the DVD has the photo of the concert in Paris.
Surely RTL, as the sponsor of the Paris Concert Show in 1988, and as the partner of BAD25, wanted to "legaly" have his logo on the photo.

That's maybe why this was photoshopped with the guy with this T-shirt.

You know what I mean ? Sorry for my bad english, I'm french and I tried to express myself as clear as possible.

I FEEL THE SAME WAAAAAAAAAY. ;u;

I feel like I AM having the full-on experience and adventure of being an MJ fan.
Not just leaving Michael behind as a happy memory of my kittenish past (at ANY time, but especially after 2009), but persisting in following him, 'cause part of me keeps believing not only is he way too intelligent to die such a frankly puzzling death, but also, like seeing him with a child's eyes, that he is some sort of immortal and just... can't die. (Especially not a death so common to...er, not-very-wise celebrities.)

No, I chose not to just forget about him and assume he's gone.
Because where he goes, my heart goes too.

And my heart says... "yeah, he's still here. You can't just...stop loving him like that."

And then I'm just shocked yet delighted that he has more to offer me than his music, his art, his soul- no, he's got me along on his JOURNEY.
How many artists/singers can you say DOES that to you? You go from listening to his music and just going, "oh, he's awesome", to "...whoa. Is he part of my life, or has he made me a part of his?"

A journey that only the Love he's taught me can accept as true, understand, and follow, via his clues he's left just for us to understand...

And find him...

And I feel just so, so blessed right now.

You guys, and Michael, are so awesome that I have no more words. <3
